Getting There
Once anchored at North Shroud Cay (pronounced key) Anchorage, it is a quick little dinghy ride through the mangroves to Camp Driftwood where the washing machine happens. There is a small beach to tie up your dingy. It is good to arrive at high tide. For a short walk, you can get some great views at once was Camp Driftwood right off the beach, go up about 100 meters. On the return trip you can bear left and go through a shallow lake and continue winding through the mangroves being dropped back out Fresh Well Bay North Anchorage just a bit south of North Shroud Cay Anchorage.
South Shroud Cay Anchorage
Many cruisers choose to come to this anchorage. Here you can kayak or paddle board into the shallow, smaller mangroves (motorized dinghies prohibited) in search of wild life where sea turtles and stingrays are sure to be found.
At low tide, on the south side, Shroud Cay is transformed into a stunning paradise. Miles of sand beaches emerge from the clear shallow waters, inviting visitors to explore the beauty of the wonder.
